Did you know that @lolas_cupcakes don’t just make delicious cupcakes but that they’re on a mission to make our planet a better place to live by making their organisation as sustainable as possible?
Not only have they ensured that all their packaging is 100% recyclable but they have been working hard to replace their fleet of delivery vehicles with electric vehicles, powered by solar panels on the roof of the vans, with their aim to have a full zero emissions fleet by 2025. And it was from this commitment that @nextdaysolar was born.
We were lucky enough to be gifted a number of items from Next Day Solar and I’ve got to say, I was genuinely blown away by the quality of the items.
As well as a super-cute, solar powered house kit for Heidi (which she now uses as a bedside night-light – what better way to get the next generation interested in renewable energy?!), we were also gifted some solar powered garden lights (my favourite are the motion sensor pathway lights; they’re perfect for lighting up the front door when you can’t find the lock in the dark!) and a portable folding solar panel (perfect for camping – if that’s your thing!!), which has been great for charging up all the little rechargeable night lights we have around the apartment.
