“Bedroom 2” aka. the Spare Room, Dressing Room, Home Office, Study etc etc etc etc. 💚
We’ve lived here for 3 years at the end of this month (how time flies..!🤯) and it’s taken us this whole time to figure out how we can best maximise this room. We’ve needed it to be a mixture of all of these things and I think we’ve *finally* cracked it.
At the beginning of 2023 we wrote a list, on a tiny bit of scrap paper, which we titled “House Plans 2023”. We jotted down all of the things we wanted to do within the home throughout the year. Most of the to-do’s revolved around this room.
In spring cleaning (is it too early to use that phrase?) the drawers of the dressing table yesterday we found said note, and realised we had achieved each thing for this room 😁🏡:
✅ Put shelves above the sofa bed for a special framed letter and other bits
✅ Convert my work desk into a dressing table area
✅ Get the Ikea ALEX drawers to go here
✅ Get a vanity mirror to sit on top of the drawers
✅ Convert J’s work desk area to the main workstation area*
*as this is the work area of the house I won’t be uploading any photos of this space (Canford owners know this is literally a cubbyhole 😂)
Sometimes it’s all just one big game of trial and error until you figure out what works for you in your home. It would be boring if you had it all cracked in the first year, right?!
