Buy, sow or propagate? A beginner gardener dilemma 🤪 Swipe the carousel for inspiration! 🫱

I’m sharing my sowing and propagating experiences on my insta account—check out my highlights for last year’s tips, and keep an eye out for upcoming monthly posts on what, when, and how to sow or propagate!

🌱
Many plants are surprisingly easy to grow from seed, whether they’re herbs, vegetables, or flowers. Sowing makes even more sense for annuals—plants that only live for one year. The best part? You have access to so many more varieties when growing from seed compared to buying ready plants. For example, at a garden center, you might find five or ten tomato varieties. But when you grow from seed, you can choose from hundreds! Yes, it takes more time, but trust me, you’ll feel so proud showing off your homegrown tomatoes to family and friends!

🌿
Not all plants are easy to grow from seeds, especially perennials like shrubs or succulents. For those, propagation is often the way to go. If there’s a plant in your garden you’d like to multiply, give it a try! There are various propagation techniques, so you might need to do a little research first.
