📚Chapter One: My Corporate Life (1989 – 2018)📚
👩🏻💻Fresh out of college, I was hired as the first Director of PR at Paulding Hospital (see black & white photo of my younger years😂). I requested one item when I started, so I could write press releases – a computer! I was one of the first people in the hospital to have a computer instead of a typewriter.
🏨 During my 29 years at WellStar Health System, I oversaw a talented, amazing marketing, pr & internal communications team. We created the WellStar brand. I’ll always be proud of the numerous events, programs and services we successfully launched.
🎤And as the System spokesperson, I never knew what kind of media crisis would completely disrupt my day. This was the most stressful part of my job!
🌻Every spring, I would look out my office window and watch the landscapers plant flowers. I would tell them – “One day, I am going to play in the dirt for a living!” Little did I know my dream would come true in 2019.
