This morning, we cloned some cannabis!
.
.
Using a prepackaged ×50 cube tray. Q-Plugs from IHORT. A combination of sphagnum peat moss, coconut shell, and patented “Proprietary Binding Material ”
.
.
The cube tray was soaked overnight in a solution of “Clonex” clone and seedling solution. 40ml per gallon of water, pH’d to 5.95 with citric acid granules.
.
.
Each cutting was removed from the mother plant by making a 45-degree cut using a scalpel. Rooting hormone is applied to the cut tip before it is plugged directly into the cube. The hormone applied contains indole-3-butyric acid, which promotes the development of lateral roots. (“Root tech” from technaflora)
.
.
After all ×50 cube slots are filled. The tray is placed on a heat mat with a temperature probe. Which keeps the tray at 80F/26C. A dome is used to trap gasses, heat, and moisture. An led is on for 18 hours from 8pm pst to 2pm pst the next day.
