First book read this year, ladies and gentlemen 🙂 And which book did you start this year with? @fmcfaddenauthor has accustomed me to the fact that her books are surprising. This time she also focused my attention on Dawn Schiff, an inconspicuous accountant whose peculiar behavior does not make her friends, and the feisty and charismatic Natalie Farrel, who works with Dawn in the same room. Natalie's disturbing phone call and Dawn's disappearance set in motion a sequence of events that keep the reader led by the nose and what seems to be true turns out to be an intricate plot. I was completely sold on Dawn's character. She intrigued me and prompted me to make a diagnosis (yes, yes, she could surprise me). The author created characterful characters, there is nothing to discuss here 😉 The plot itself was also interesting, although I admit that Dawn and Natalie overshadowed it in my eyes, which is why, compared to the previous books, the plot itself seems to be the weakest.
