Why don’t people use our garden path?
At our cosy new cottage we have a garden path with a gate in the front fence that leads to our front door. We also have a driveway with a gate, that several metres down has a laneway off it that leads directly to our front door, yet most people who call in to see us don’t use that either.
No, most visitors (except the JW 🙂 ) come in the drive way gate then cut across the flowerbed and walk across a patch of lawn to get to the front door. Why is that? We’ve even blocked off the gap in the flowerbed and started leaving the garden path open, but people still aren’t using it.
Today’s courier did leave using the laneway and driveway, which is an improvement but still… isn’t using a garden path the normal way to get to a front door.
Any suggestions on how to make it more appealing and the flowerbed/grass less appealing?
