I love how cosy and warm this colour makes the little cottage dining room look in the winter…. It’s a little more mustardy than the brighter yellow in the sitting room, but still appears delightfully sunny when the longer days of Spring and summer arrive and the room is filled with golden hour light from the west facing window every evening.
Still things to do in here… have to finish painting that last bit of skirting board, and eventually intend to strip all the layers of black gloss off the oak beams and take them back to bare wood. Then I’ll decide on whether to keep the ceiling pale or go for a more honey shade… my concern with that is that I don’t want to make the ceilings just look nicotine-stained! 😅
